Welcome to Bribie Island Voluntary Community Help (BIVCHAI)

We are an independent 'not for profit' organisation which was formed by a handful of Volunteers in 1991, with the aim of assisting the frail members in the Community. We currently operate three main Services:

• Minor Home Maintenance and Repairs including Security Information.
• Minor Modifications to improve physical access allowing you to remain in your home.
• Community Transport including Social Support to help people remain socially active.

The Association receives funding from the following organisations to assist in providing subsidised services:

• Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works for Home Assist Secure
• Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors - Community Care (QCC) Program
• Commonwealth Department of Health - Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

Eligibility criteria's do apply to access our subsidised services and you must be assessed and registered with us.
